Tea tree oil and ringworm!! Hey all I have searched and seen that some of you have used tea tree oil to get rid ringworm. How do you use it?? Do you put a drop on their spots or what?? My WHOLE house has it!! TWO cats, THREE dogs and us FIVE humans. My family is on topical cream, my cats are getting that sulfer dip but NOW my dogs have it. I do not really want to have to SHAVE my dogs too!! :( Plus do you all know if you can use bleach on real hard wood floors?? I have bleached all my tile floors but I am not sure about the hardwood floors. |
I just put it on my finger and rub it onto the ringworm spot -- worked better than the prescription drugs from the Dr. I don't think I would use bleach on hardwood -- what about vinegar?? |
Do you want the bleach to kill the ringworm buggie things? Try another disinfectant I think. Bleach might take the color out and soften the wood. How weird. I have a something on my chest whish is either a curling iron burn or some sort of round rash, like impetigo. I'm going to put tea tree oil on it now. Thanks! |
Good luck!! Tea tree oil seems to work wonders for alot of things! |
Oh bless your heart!! That must be awful. (Wow, I have the itchies now. ) Hope you are all better very soon. |
Tea Tree Oil works FANTASTIC as does EMU oil. I am using EMU oil on a small skin rash spot on my leg. Don't know what it is. For the ring worm, you should not touch it nor should the top of the Tea Tree Oil bottle come into contact with anything that has touched the ring worm. Use a cotton swab or a small piece of gauze. Good luck.... |
Wouldn't you know that my Tea Tree Oil, which I have for about 10 years, was just about empty! I do have enough to just get onto this rash, and I added some Rescue Remedy. It looks better today. I have to get some more oil. I bought this at this amazing shop in the city along with a few others. They've kept their essence all these years. My Jasmine cost $40 then, but I never smelled Jasmine so beautiful in my life. I make my own perfume so I need beautiful oils. |
Becareful with the tea tree oil. I used it on my yorkies leather ears and it worked great. All the hair came back . I told my friend about it and she tried it and her dog had a severe reaction. ( she got really sick right away) Her vet said it can be toxic. I was shocked and asked my vet and she looked it up and said, yes, it can be toxic in some dogs. There are differnt kinds of tea tree and there is one ingredient you don't want very much of . ( Just for FYI ) |
