Sneezing Blood !!!!! Did anyone ever have a yorkie that all of a sudden started sneezing blood out there nose? i mean like 20 times a min... i don't know if its allergies or what, we took our yorkie to the emergency hospital Sunday, and they asked if we thought someone was poising him, which i don't think so, we have a fenced in yard and we monitor our yorkies when there outside, they wanted to do a bunch of test, but at a emergency hospital can get kinda $$$$$, she gave us some antibiotics and he is also on benedryl three times a day, its been helping and he has a follow up with his vet next week, i just wanted to see if this happen to some else on here... any advice ???? or comments??? thank you Kel |
 Don't have an answer for you, but I'm sure someone will have some ideas! Good luck to your baby - hope he gets better soon! |

:) I'm glad the medicine is helping. That's a frightening thing! We just started with a new lawn company...they say what they use if animal friendly, but I never trust them. Hugs to you and your baby. |

I'm sorry your baby is ill, and I'm glad the meds are helping. Let us know how you make out at the vet. |
I wouldn't wait for his check up next week. Call your vet, he should be able to fit you in for something like this. He needs to see him while he is sneezing blood. He will want to take a look at what is coming out of his nose with a microscope. It could be something serious like cancer or a tumor but it is more likely to be something like a fungal infection, kidney infection, or something stuck in his nose. Take him into the vet today if possible, if nothing else, it will give you peace of mind. |
Congrats on the new baby!!! That's so exciting...I know, money can really get tight with a new baby in the house. I have two kids, both grown. My daughter is a single mom with two kids and I worry about her all of the time. It's always something...she lives in Atlanta and the cost of daycare for her youngest is insane!! Plus, they grow like weeds and are constantly out growing their clothes and shoes. I bought clothes for my Granddaughter for Christmas and within three months, she'd outgrown them!! |

I agree with Drawlins...that there may be something in the up in the nose that is irritating it. Do you have any foxtails in your yard? If a dog gets one of them up the nose, they sneeze like that, though I haven't heard of them sneezing blood. If it is something up the nose, it could travel up further, so I would have the vet check that out. Best wishes...I hope your little one is okay! |

Sounds like they couldn't determine what was causing the problem. Did they give you any meds? Is it still happening. |
