Constipation Its been about a day and a 1/2 since Benjamin went poop. He doesn't really want his wet food, but seems to be eating the dry food. I tried to get him to drink some water, but no luck... He has had some stinky gas though.. which is new for him... any suggestions? |
I would take him to the vet. I know Kayro syrup syrup works on human kids but with a tiny fur butt, I wouldnt know what to tell ya for dosage. Id call the vet they should be able to tell you something on the phone! |
Give him some canned pumpkin for the constipation |
Mine dont like pumpkin so that never works for me. I mixed it with yogurt and they ate a little of it but not enough to do any good. Next time one gets constipated I am going to buy a Ole Roy dog treat. That should do the job.:p One of the ladies I sold a puppy to gave her dog one and it loosened her up real good. |
ok i dont know if anyone remembers this but ... like a year ago i took my litter in to get a liver shunt test ... and the vet teks didnt feed my puppy the puppy food i sent but SD and she blew out her rectum from constipation ny way the vet gave the puppy a enema and gave me soulution to do this at home with the puppy after the surgery to right little billy's hiney so i know this is a option with the fur kids from experiencs good luck |
my vet gave sd for bile acid test too but gave diggy the poops funny how stuff affects them differently |

THe pumpkin did not work for us we used mineral oil, but if you use this contact your vet and find out how much to give. I can't remember how much mineral oil we gave our girls. |
