Hallee update surgery...ACL not LP Hallee went to specialist on Monday and it is both her back ACL's not LP like my local vet thought. Specialist said both symptoms are similiar. Hallee had surgery late morning yesterday. I was able to visit twice after the surgery because they are also a 24 hour animal hospital. I visited at 3 and at 8 to make sure she ate. She looked so terrible and she was hooked up to IV. I could not keep from crying every time I seen her. I am sure they are used to people crying there. This morning she looked better and seems to be glad to be home. Now we are on the recovery journey for her left leg and then 3-8 weeks she will have her left done. We will schedule it in probably about 6-8 weeks to be sure she is okay with her left. Specialist seems to think this was hereditary for her since it is both of her legs. Have follow up appt in 3 weeks. |
I am so happy to hear that your little one is doing well and is home! Please thank your DH for responding to my PM inquiring about her. We are sending well wishes Hallee's way! |

So glad to hear she is doing well... I know that recovery seems like a long time and then you have to do it all over again, BUT, let me tell you from experience that when it is all over, you are going to have a BRAND NEW GIRL - And it will bring you such joy to see her that way ;) |
Wishing Hallie a speedy recovery. |
sounds like she's doing as well as can be expected.....at least she does sounds comfortable. She'll be back to "new" before you know it! |
