Made Rebel an appt with orthopedic vet Ever since my vet diagnosed Reb with luxating patella I've been going nuts! I just can't stand the thought of him having surgery. This morning he tried to stand on his hind legs with his front paws in my hand so I could scratch his belly and his back legs gave way:( I knew he was hurting and that the vet is open on Saturdays until noon. I called them and talked with a really nice vet tech. She answered all my questions, but told me she didn't think they'd do both legs at once because he only weighs 5 lbs. We have an appt the 31st @ 9:30 for him to be evaluated. If it has to be done, I'm not going to put it off. I want him over it and back to normal ASAP. Please think about Rebel and say a little prayer for him. |
Rebel you little doll, hope your well in no time. |
Gizmo and I are keeping Rebel and you in our prayers. Be strong. You are doing the best thing for him. I know it's hard, but you want what's best for him. Hugs! |
Gracie and I wish Rebel well. Gracie is in a similar situation, just diagnosed. We don't know the treatment plan yet, but the vet said if surgery is needed, the sooner it is done the better. It is good that you will not put it off. Please keep us posted |
We are going through the same thing right now. Hallee has appt with ortho specialist on 7/30 and if surgery is needed it will be done that day. I am scared to do death, but want Hallee back to normal as well. It is hard dealing with medical/health issues when it comes to our babies. However, Hallee seems to be better the last couple of days. Vet has her on Rimadyl. Will see what the ortho specialist says. |
Rebel Prayers going out for Rebel. j:) |
Sending healing thoughts for Rebel. I don't think we look forward to a human or animal being sedated and having surgery, but usually the end result far outweighs the temporary fear. Will keep Rebel in my prayers and look forward to your post. Warmly, Deborah |
