As some of you know Newman our ten year old baby was operated on four months ago and diagnosed with a stage III tumor in his foot. At the time the vet gave us about a year. We had the option to try radiation but we were told that it wouldn't cure it just prolong it. Well, Newman's tumor is back. I noticed about a month ago that he was going at his foot again and he was slowing down etc. At the time I didn't see anything but knew in my heart that something was coming back. Two weeks ago I noticed the skin was now very raw and it was enlarged. The only thing I could do was keep a watch. The foot pad is now atleast three times bigger then it was two weeks ago and worse then it was yesterday. We have an appointment tomorrow morning with our vet to see where we stand. I cannot tell you how upset I am as the night gets later and morning is approaching. I am just not ready to let him go but at the same time I don't want to see him suffering. He seemed alright for most of today but tonight he's been having some trouble breathing and he's going at the foot more and more. Please keep him in your thoughts. Thanks. Elaine |
