help!!! On Friday Llly came in from the yard and appeared to be having a muscle spasm in her leg and tail area i thought she had cramp, she was a little sore that day and i thought maybe one of the other dogs had knocked her she was walking okay, by the next morning she was in a great deal of pain and she was holding her leg off the floor and holding it backwards out of her body her tail and leg were having muscle spasms we of course rushed her to the vet who took x rays and called another vet to have a look they could not see what was causing this, anyway they have sent her xray to a specialist and sent her home with painkillers , i am still waiting to here to results this Monday, poor Lilly has been in so much pain over the weekend i have cried and cried i have not really slept has anyone ever had a similar problem??this came on so quick, i fear today will bring bad news please if there is any advice or prayers send them many thanks xx |
I haven't expereinced this but want you to know I am praying for you and your baby. |
Did they check her skin very closely for any sign of a bite? Poor baby, I hope she's better soon. |
yes she has been checked over its like her leg is useless, the spasms in her muscles are awful shes so upset today, her tail is too the side and shes looking to me to help her all i can do is sit with her and comfort her, it looks like a trapped nerve to me i am of course no vet so i can only speculate its so strange and distressing for her |
Poor little Lily! I have never heard of this before, just wanted to tell you how terribly sorry I am. It's so awful when they can't tell us what's wrong. We will be praying for a good outcome today! Please update us. |
Aw, poor Lilly! Here's hoping she is better soon.:) |
Im Sorry Lily is have problems .Maybe it is her back? Have you tried direct heat, like a heating pad? Try putting her in a pool.Maybe that will relax her muscles.Sending prayers and Kisses and hugs |
that is aweful. are you sure she didn't fall and hit her leg? my newest little girl Pebbles, the day after we got her she was on my husbands lap and all of a sudden jumped off without any warning. we thought her leg was broke. we took her in for xrays but nothing was broke. he said it was a sprain. it has taken her 2 weeks to put any pressure on that foot. she was in a lot of pain as well. we had pain medicine as well. i hope everything turns out ok for you and her. |
Oh that poor baby. Praying for good news. Please let us know what they say, ok? |
Praying for poor baby Lily and hoping that all comes back well. Patty |
Thanks for the kind messages ladies, the specialist has not yet received the x ray so my poor baby who is only 6 months old was destined for another 24 hrs of pain, well my hubby got home from work and said i am getting the car out now! and Lilly is going to the vets now her pain was getting worse she was crying and restless i could not give her pain relief as she would not eat and could not have the meds without food, the vet has kept her in and is sedating her so she can sleep, tomorrow the specialist will see the xrays and hopefully fingers crossed they can make her better i hope and pray, i will of course keep you updated with her story thank you all xx |
I had a Yorkie that tore his ACL ligament in his rear leg and it sort of sounds like that. They did surgery and at the same time fixed his LP and he was fine. He never did put full weight on that leg when standing still. Keep us posted. |
When you said she was looking to you to help her...it just gave me goose bumps. I know what you feel. When they actually "look" at you like "help me mommmy." It is a helpless feeling not to be able to ask them what is wrong, or ease their pain. I am glad Lily is getting some relief at the Vet. She is so young.Hope you get good news tomorrow. |
