Thanks everyone for the prayers they seem to be working, I brought her home last night and gave her the dramamine. Late last night she was still stumbling, but this morning she is running and walking with her tail up and no signs of an unsteady gait. I am watching her closely and worry every time she get up to walk. She is understandably tired today after her ordeal at the er vet. I am praying she continues to act normal. Still we have no reason why she was like that, so I may keep the apppointment with the internal Med specialist tomorrow although they want to do cat scans, spinal taps which I don't want to subject Pixie to if she is doing better. I may wait and see if she continues to act normal and pray it doesn't resurface. PS I believe my dtr is on a Virgin Airlines plane right now due in at 2:00 Chicago time. That was the last info we were given. |
Oh Patti, I am so sorry that you are dealing with so much right now!! You must be so overwhelmed!! Hang in there and know that we all support you and are praying for Pixie. Sending prayers and hugs to you and your family that Pixie gets better soon along with the rest of your family!! |
Patti, I'm praying for you and your whole family. You're going thru so much right now and I know it's overwhelming. Take one day at a time, and if you have to.....one hour at a time. Just remember, He has us in the palm of HIS hand.:hands: :hands: :hands: :ghug: |
Prayer's coming for Pixie that she continues to do well. Prayer's coming that she will. |
We are praying that Pixie continues to do well and that everything else smooths out happily. :love-hug3 |
Patti prayers coming your way that Pixie is ok ! |
It could be something as simple as an inner ear infection. A lot of people get this this time of year due to allergies ans dogs have allergies too. Hannah has been sneezing a lot and runny nose sometimes. I hope it is nothing serious and she gets well soon. I pray that God will give you strength though all of this. |
I'm so sorry poor little Pixie is going through this. :( We are sending prayers your way. |
Patti, I will keep you and you family in my thoughts & prayers! Please keep us updated.:hands: |

The cat scan is fine but they shouldn't do a spinal tap unless its a last resort. Also ask them to screen for toxins if the ER didn't do it. She could have gotten into something. Also ask them to rule out kidney and liver problems which would cause these same symptoms. So glad to hear she is doing better. |
I'm glad that Pixie seems better. I think it would still be a good idea for her to be seen... I'm also happy that your daughter is on her way home! |
They did a complete blood panel at the er and it was very normal. She does have diarhrrea now so it looks like I will be keeping the appointment. She definatley seems better but I just feel something isn't 100 % right with her. Thanks again for everyones prayers and concern. It really helps to calm me down when I come on here and see everyones posts. |
