Small poops Lolly my new 5 year old has very small pebble-like poops. We feed her Dick Van Patten Duck and Potato Kibble which is what her breeder recommended. My dear departed little Mac used to have single larger movements. He was larger- 7lbs. while Lolly is only 5.75lbs. Should I be concerned about this and speak to the vet? Needless to say, since Mac died of intestinal problems, I am concerned. By the way, on Saturday we buried Mac's ashes in the front yard, and I planted a new breed of rose bush on top. The bush was developed for the 100th anniversary of the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden in Hartford, CT. Prayers to all of you with ailing fur babies. |
i'm sorry to hear about Mac, but i bet that rose bush will thrive! it sounds like she is constapated, but still managing to get it out... you might try apple sauce or canned pure pumpkin... or even some metamucil to help her out... lots of water!!! can we see a picture of her :) |
I'm so sorry to hear about your Mac... Congrats on your new baby :) It sounds like she might be a bit constipated...The advice given above is good. Maybe try a little pumpkin. Good luck! |
I don't know about the food that your baby is on. Sadie does the same thing & I asked the vet about it (Sadie's on a special prescription food) and she said it's completely normal with her type of food. So maybe that's it. I'd probably check with my vet to be sure. |
Try to watch her next time she's pooping. If she doesn't seem to be straining or having a hard time getting the poo out, then she's probably fine. Nothing we won't do for these furkids, eh? |
Sounds a little constipated... Are you sure she's drinking enough water? My Jack will get this way if I feed him too much cheese.... |
pumpkin my vet said give tede a teaspoon of canned pumkin.. worked like a charm julie -Tede-Bare |
