Angel Recovering from Her Spay - Question... Angel was spayed yesterday. I picked her up today and she is still pretty mild mannered today (NOT typical for her). Vet's instructions are to keep her calm, no running, jumping, stairs for 10 days (yeah, right) with a return visit to get sutures out. I've been holding her all day today and she has been chilling/sleeping in my arms. Sissy is really out of sorts because she wants to play with her. Anyway, my question is that Angel appears to be having some spotting and it isn't coming from her incision. When I wipe her after she pees, she definitely has some mild bloodiness coming from her vagina. I called the vet's office to let them know and ask if this is normal and the response was as long as it isn't constant or alot it is fine. Has anyone else experienced this following a spay. She was not in heat prior to her spay either......... |
awww poor Angel!! Layla didn't have this problem but i just wanted to send hugs to Angel!!! i hope she feels better soon!! |
Jewels didnt do that either. It would probably have me concerned but if your vet isnt worried about it then you probably shouldnt either. I hope Angel is back too her old self tomorrow |
Sorry I can't be of any help with this. Give Angel hugs and kisses for being such a big girl! I hope she is back to her usual self real soon. Give Sissy some hugs and kisses too!! You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers. |
I don't know if that's normal or not but hope it is for her sake and FEEL better sweetie !! I know your mommy is taking very good care of you. The girls send smoochies |
If it doesn't go away by tomorrow call the Vet again and let him know. Should it become worse overnight take her to the ER Vet. I'm sure she'll be just fine. Hugs from Phoebi and Chan! |
