Roxee's spay tomorrow 3 Attachment(s) Hi guys! I am a mess right now. The closer it gets to 8am, the more nervous I get! My little girl Roxee is going in for her spay tomorrow. She will spend tomorrow night at the vets office. I told her that she gets even more attention tonight! She is eating it up. I am so worried and would like to ask that you guys keep her in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Thank you guys for all of the support that you have given to so many people on here. I attached a few pre-spay pics of Roxee that we took tonight. Thanks, Thea and Roxee |
Just sent my positive thoughts! She is a doll. And, I'll be looking forward to your update that she came through her surgery like a little star! :) :) :) |
Your Roxee is too cute:) Will keep both of you in my prayers today. |
Good Luck today Roxee....I'm sure you'll be home before you know it! |
Roxee is a beauty. I keep you both in my prayers today. PLEASE give us an update as soon as you hear from the vet. We worry about our extended family members. :ghug: |
Roxee is in my thoughts and prayers today! Believe me from my experience, you'll worry, but because she'll spend the night you'll miss what I believe is probably the most heartbreaking, the grogginess and pain and aftereffects of anesthesia. She will be in wonderful hands! |
Thank you all for your positive thoughts. I dropped Roxee off this morning and it was so very hard. She wasn't real worried about me, since their was a huge golden retriever that she wanted to play/jump on. I agree, Vinnie's mom, I will not witness the worst part of it. I spoke to the vet tech and she said they would do the blood work. She said that they will call as soon as she is out. She also said that the tech who would be spending the night would call between 7-9pm. So I really feel like they will take such good care of her. Once I got home, it was so quite in here. I will continue to pray for all of your babies, too. We have had a good number having surgeries this week. Thanks again, Thea and Roxee:aimeeyork |
Roxee update I just spoke to Roxee's vet. He said that she did fine through the surgery. She is resting and doing fine. He said that she is such a little sweetie. (Of course she is)! He said that the tech will call me tonight to let me know how she is feeling. I can pick her up after 9 tomorrow morning. Let the countdown begin!!!! I can't wait to get her home. I went buy her some onesies at WalMart. They are pink! Thank you guys for all of your support. I appreciate it!!! Thea |
YAY! Was just wondering if you had heard anything. Glad to hear it. :) Thoughts and prayers. |
Roxee's Home!!! It was so cute when I went to pick her up. The vet was telling me that I should keep her calm and not let her jump or run too much. Yeah right!!! When the tech walked in with her, she was ready to jump out of her arms. She was wiggling and doing a dance in the girls arms. She must have missed me as much as I missed her!!! She is doing fine. She ate, drank, and even went to the potty. She is happy to be home and on "her" sofa. She looks good and seems to be so happy. She is not too happy about the onesie, though!!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, Thea and Roxee |
Glad to hear Roxee is doing well!!! Be sure to keep her nice and calm - I wasn't too successful at keeping Ceiba calm and she slightly reopened her wound. I have resorted to keeping her crated rather than running around. I hate to hear her whine, but I'd rather her get healthy! Again, glad Roxee's in good shape!! |
just now reading this post and I was going to tell you NOT to worry . . . and now I see she is home . . . I bet she is getting extra TLC for being gone. :) |
Hows Roxee feeling today?? |
Hi Kim, Roxee is doing fine. Yesterday and today when she woke up, her ears popped up, her body popped up and then the nub of a tail started wagging. It has been hard to keep her from running and jumping. She is feeling good. She has really been good about not messing with the incision. She has really been eating up the extra TLC. She is really a mess. Kim, Do you bring your furbabies to be groomed or do you do it yourself? Thanks, Thea |
I am so happy to hear your baby is doing so well! |

I groom them all myself. I tried Petsmart & The groomer at the Vets when they were small. All 3 times someone had a flea on them & it seemed as if Scruffy was traumatized each time? So I learned to do it myself! |
First time posting My baby was spayed Hi everyone This is my fist time posting and after reading all of your posts you all seem like great people. I have a beautiful little 6 month old yorkie her name is Sasha and we just had her spayed on Wed. She had to spend two nights at the hospital vets policy. It was the hardest two days of my life without her. Shes now home and recovering, will be on antibiotics for 10 days then her stictches come out. I cant wait to have her back to normal keeping her from running and jumping on the beds is sooooo hard. Just had a question did any of your babies after surgery go make pee pee then about a few minutes later return and squat but nothing comes out? she has done this several times then she looks down at the wee-wee pad and nothing is there. Im thinking maybe the muscles are still weak from the surgery? any info would be great. Maria & Sasha:aimeeyork |
Sasha's spay Maria, Hi there. Positive thoughts heading your way for a speedy recovery for Sasha. Roxee just had her stitches removed and she did great. After the third day, she was very hard to keep calm. She did fine, though. Roxee did got to the wee wee pad more often. She would just sprinkle a drop or two the second time to the pad. I agree with you that I believe it is like weak muscles or something. Maybe someone else has more insight on this topic??? If you are really worried, you could make a call to your vet to ask. Keep us posted on her recovery! Again, hope that all goes well.... Thea and Roxee:aimeeyork |

Thanks for you reply. I am so glad that Roxee did wonderful with the removal of her stitches. How did they get her to stay still when they removed them now im stressing over that, does it hurt them? I am going to call her vet in the morning just to ask about the sprinkle here and there, she did much better this afternoon with the wee wee pad. I feel so bad for her, she wants to jump around and go play outside but im so nervous shes gonna open up her stitches. Maria |
