breathing ok?? roman was laying on the couch about to fall asleep and he started breathing really loud talking short deep breaths. i held him for a minute and he drifted of to sleep then stopped. this happened for less then a minute...is there anything that i should be worried about? |
dreaming? |
Layla does that too sometimes.. scares the crap out of me.. but she stops... |
no becuase he had just laid down i dont even think he was asleep yet |
i wonder... miko does that right before she vomits (which she did twice this morning, poor thing). it sort of sounds like she's panting in a weird way. sometimes if we pick her up when she's in the middle of it, she doesn't end up vomiting for some reason. it could also be that she was dreaming or in deep sleep. if your little one seems ok now, i would try not to worry too much (and this coming from a chronic worry-wart) good luck! :aimeeyork |
im not sure if hes about to vomit because dont their bodies contract? i dunno maybe small dogs dont but my friends dogs whole body starts contrating when hes about throw up. im going to the vet for his shots on thurs so ill bring that up to him. its scary like hes having trouble breathing or hyperventilating but hopefully its nothing |
I was looking on the forums for an answer to this same question! Our little Rigger was drifting off to sleep Friday and he made a high pitched gasping sound and woke himself up. We watched him closely over the weekend and he continues to do this. It is only as he is drifting off to sleep and the noise is similar to a child with asthma. He only does it a couple of times and if I pick him up to elevate his head he goes on to sleep. I have called the Vet this morning and am waiting to get an appointment. Anyone else have any experience with this type of thing? I am sick with worry! |
im going to the vet on thurs for romans shots ill be sure to ask the him and see what he says |
poor guy if his body isn't contracting, then you're probably right and he's not about to vomit. i don't know what it could be! i hope you get the answers you need and i hope your li'l one is feeling better soon! :animal36 |
