Otis has his Bile Acid test tomorrow! Some of you know I've been noticing him having some signs recently. No big seizures or head pressing, thank goodness. Well, he hasn't had any more symptoms until today. He's back in the closet, where he hasn't ever gone in the past. I just figured maybe he goes in there while I'm at work to get away from bothersome little brother Oliver and I never knew it. And, he's looking at the floor as if something is crawling, then turns to look at something else like it's crawling and there's nothing there. Here's a question, He is keeping his tail down, kind of trying to look at his butt. Could it be his anal glands are needing to be expelled? I'm certainly taking him for the blood test in the a.m., but I was just wondering about the glands. He scooted across the floor the other day, but only once. I'll check past threads for the signs that glands need to be emptied. anyway, wish me luck. Paranoia Paula's trying not to friek out. |
Also, his bum looks a little poofy on one side, he's sitting a lot. I'll have the vet express them tomorrow when he's there. yuk. |
Im a paranoid Paula too! Really my ame is Paula...and I am paranoid. I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your bile acid test. Do you get the result immediately or do they have to be sent off and you wait for a few days??? Please keep us posted! |
good luck to you |
Good luck! The waiting is the hardest. |
Wishing you the best of luck! I hope to hear that the results come back within normal range. |
Thanks for the well wishes. They only drew his blood once. They didn't do a post prandial. The vet thought the neurologic examination was normal and everything else looked great. I'll find out Tuesday and post again. Thanks for the support!! |
