Sounds like hypoglycemia! Get her some Nutri-cal, karo syrup, or honey and take her straight to the vet. They can die from this. Cat food is not good for dogs. Doesn't have the same nutrients, especially for a growing puppy. |
No, it's not normal that she's kind of wobbly...That's a sign that something is wrong with her. Did you get her from a breeder? Unfortunately imbalance, wobbliness, walking in circles, falling over, and other symptoms like that can be indicative of hypoglycemia... It could something as simple as hypoglycemia or it can be as severe as a liver shunt. Since you don't know anything about her medical history, I would take her to the vet and have them run a $40 bile acid test which will check for liver problems. Do a google search for it and read on this...Unfortunately, more and more yorkies are showing up with this problem. She should not be eating cat food. Make sure and observe her after she eats her food...What is her behavior, does she rub her head against the floor or wall or furniture or anything. Does she act differently? |
I agree, get her to the vet. |
I agree.....take to the vet for sure, if anything it will ease your worried mind. |
How Do I Keep Her From Eating The Cat Food....i Live With Two Cats And Thieir Food Nex To Hers....and Why Is She Throwing Up.....after She Eats... |
She throws up after she eats her own food? Have them do a fecal test when you take her to the vet. She might have a parasite... |
how long have you had Jadia?? please get her checked at the vets. Also if she will not eat her food try her on something differant she will find something she likes. Put the cat food up and make them eat their food up high this will stop her from getting it. I know people that will set a place up for the cats to eat and low for their dogs. Just a suggestion. Hope your baby is feeling better please keep us posted. |
Can the cats food be moved to a countertop or up where the dog cannot get it? I know it's not the most sanitary thing but if you move cats food you only have to show them one time where it is they will adjust. easier for cats adjust to move in food then ur pup will learn not to eat it.... |
She Will Eat Her Food, But She Eats So Fast She Throws It Up....we Was Lying On The Couch And She Was Lying On My Legs And She Threw Up And The Food Was Whole Like Not Chewed..... |
What food are you feeding her? |

Cat food is too rich for your yorkie and can cause lots of health problems. Please, place it out of reach. |
I Am Feeding Her A Special Food For Yourkies That Is In A Green And Silver Bag Not Sure Of The Name Of It....from Pet Co.... |
I have 2 cats and i had the same problem( the dogs eating cat food), you have to put the cat food out of reach. I keep mine on the counter topand I have to always wipe my counters of cat hair but its what i have to do to keep the dogs from eating it.:star2: |
