how is a urinary tract infection treated?? does it go away on its own or do i have to give antibiotcis?? are there symptoms other than peeing? thanks in advance!! |
It depends on how bad the infection is. Sometimes peeing in the wrong place is an early symptom. It is treated with antibiotics. Once the infection gets severe, your baby will be going frequently while not putting out much. Baby may cry when urinating, and there may be blood in the urine. It really is just like a human, how it feels, and oh, yes, the smell is unmistakable! |
oh gosh....thank you soo much for all your help! i will go there first thing in the morning and take a urine sample....i think that way i wont have to pay for an appointment? is that ok? or does the doctor need to see her for some reason?? |
Make sure and collect the urine directly from her so that it's not contaminated or anything. Try putting something to catch her pee underneath her as she squats to pee. Good luck!! If it's a UTI, they'll prob send her home with antibiotics to clear up the infection. Keep us updated tomorrow! |
i sure will.....thanks everyone for all your help! |
