Breny,

If your vet peforms his own dental using the right anesthetic, your baby is in capable hands.

I switched vets when I found out the vet techs were performing dentals on the dogs and let him know why I was going else where.

Thank you so much!!!! I pulled up his food at 8pm, after giving him a HUGE , and I mean HUGE dinner at 7 :) I just get freaked out over going to the vet. Shoot, I sit in the waiting room and hold back tears for others babies! I always cry at the vet :rolleyes:

he only does them on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and He's a small vet, (just him) but I'll be sure to ask and make sure its him doing it, although I'm pretty sure it is. But then again, I'd rather know for sure!!!!

I know what you mean. I just felt I wanted my kids in the capable hands of the vet. And not the most important thing, you are paying high vet fees for services, why would you pay those same fees for a vet tech.

I will post an update as soon as I can. I'll try not to worry, BUT I know I'm going to be a wreck from the moment I drop him off till I hear its all over and he's fine :)

Thoughts and prayers to you & Brodie from me & Winston. Hoping that all goes well, and that he'll be back home with you real soon. Try not to worry, but I'm sure you will, as I would too...but you have to be strong to help him.

I was told no food or water before our little girl's spay surgery. Others have said the same, but they gave a little water anyway. Don't know if that's a good idea or not.

I think of the anesthesia reaction as similar to a lightening strike. It happens that rarely, and chances are that it won't happen twice.
