Hope is OUT OF SURGERY!!! She was spayed, had baby teeth pulled and micro chip put in this morning. I was SO SCARED, but just talked to the vet's office, the vet tech, Bridget was actually holding my baby and she is doing fine. I get to pick her up this afternoon by 4... they say she should bounce back really fast! Thank Goodness that is OVER! Thank you all for your thoughts... d |
I am so happy Hope came through like a little trooper. I bet you can't wait until 4 to get hold of her again. I am glad it's over for both of you. |
I am so glad to read this! |

Thank heavens she is fine. Our little girl had the same surgery a month ago. Just make sure you have enough pain meds for every 4-6 hours over the weekend just in case, especially since it's Friday and the vet may be gone over the weekend. Our little girl had quite a bit of pain. She shivered whenever the pain meds wore off and the vet said that was a sign she was in pain. She was on them for about four days. At first we could tell they were wearing off every four hours and we had to wait to give her another dose. It was very hard to see her suffer. The vet had given us enough for about 2 days, but she went through those and we called and explained her symptoms and the vet gave us about 10 more. By day 4 the pain meds weren't wearing off so soon and we could gradually cut back on them without her looking miserable. Good luck on her recovery! Good thoughts coming your way. |
YAY HOPE !!! That's great news !! she'll be back to her normal self before you know it....I'd def make sure they send her home with pain pills....we didn't use but 3 but I was glad to have them Sending her a hug and get well wishes...she'll be a tired sore little girl for a day or 2 but these little guys are stronger than we think sometimes |
Thanks Ya'll!! She is home and still very much out of it. Needless to say I cannot move because she freaks out and tries to follow me. I will be staying put until she is better! It turns out that her baby teeth fell out since last visit so they didnt have to pull any. My vet is great! The sent me home with syringes already loaded with pain meds. She is sooo pitiful! I am sp happy its over! Thanks again! Donna |
Give Hopey a hug from this crazy wild crew down in Georgia! :ghug: |
I am so happy to hear that she is doing good...:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: . I am going to face this with Hannah tuesday...I am so scared about the surgery and I am also very upset to leave her there overnight. |
I'm so glad to hear she is doing well. It is such a relief once the surgery is done. I was so nervous when Maddie was in surgery. I know what you mean about not moving. My boyfriend and I took turns staying with Maddie all the time so she wouldn't feel like she needed to follow us. She'll be feeling better in no time. Sending you :ghug: |
Donna, I am so glad Hopey did fine with the surgery, I knew she would. She will be back to herself in no time!! Destiny sends her sissy hugs and get well kisses!! :nursing: |
Sending Hope warm, healing wishes. |
