Teddy fell today I was freaking out today...I was like I need YT!!! I was on my comp. in my room when I hear a big thump in the living room and then I hear Teddy make a sad noise, it made me so sad to hear. It was kind of like a whine/cry but like he had no effort to even make it since he was so hurt. Then I heard it again but it was longer, like he was in pain and couldn't move. So I ran to the living room and he was on the floor. I don't know how he could have fallen but I guess he fell off the couch. It surprised me cuz he always jumps up and down the couch w/o problems so I was questioning how it could have happened. He must have fell on his head or something. I felt soo bad seeing him. When he saw me he was trying to be all happy and active and he could barely even move, and his eyes were closing. I even started crying, he scared me so much. So I pet him and kissed and hugged him and he felt better. He was running around and happy 2 minutes later. And I did call the vet to tell them. But that was a BIG scare for me. My little baby....:( |
I hope everything is okay with Teddy. That must have really scared you. You did the right thing calling the vet... I am so happy to hear he is happy and active ... perhaps he was just stunned? |

awwww....I don't like those sad noises when you don't know what to do! I'm so happy he's ok!!! Teddy needs extra kissies on the nosie!!! |
Oh make sure... Not to be the downer...but my childhood Yorkie jumped off the rocking chair and did the same thing. We noticed that she started sleeping a lot after that, although not right away...maybe it was the next day. The vet said that she had had a concussion. But after letting her sleep in a darkened room a few days she was fine. Just make sure your little one doesn't start sleeping a lot all of a sudden. But I bet Teddy is just fine!:animal36 Take care! |
POOR BABY !! I agree with watching him very closely.......he may have been just scared and that's why he was acting that way...I hope he's going to be ok |
Oh my goodness  I got chills at the beggining of your message thinking of the worst... thank goodness Teddy is ok!! But definetely glad that you called the vet and you should monitor him closely for now to make sure he continues showing no signs of injury. Poor little guy and mommy! Please tell him that his blonde girlfriend Ninna sends him extra warm fuzzy kisses :) |
Poor wittle baby!! I cry too when something hurts them! It is so scary! So glad he is running around so soon afterward! Truffles sometimes gets freaked out by a noise and she will sit and shake uncontrollably and try to go hide....nothing soothes her...I hate it cause she can't tell me whats wrong!! |
awww poor Teddy! Glad he is ok! |
Oh my goodness. I'm glad he's okay. Could it have been that he fell asleep on the couch and just rolled over in his sleep and fell? That has happened to one of my Doxies before. Glad he didn't get seriously hurt though! |
