HELP!!!! I think Holly ate a Cigarrette! I don't know how she got it, must have brought from outside or something. I noticed some stuff on the floor and my boy found a cig. butt. I picked it up and was cleaning up the residue, and Holly threw up. She hasn't thrown up again and is up and about. WHAT DO I DO? |
Not to sure did the cig come up when she got sick? I am sure someone knows I will do some searching for you. I'll let you know. |

She did throw some of it up. She hasn't thrown up again and she's been drinking water. She's also been playing. Now she is eating her food. I just got a call from the vet and he said that the main thing is that she threw it up and that she's still up and about. I was advised to keep watching her to see if she continues to throw up. Then I should call him again and get further instructions. I'm not too scared since she's acting very normal, but I am a little concerned that something will happen later. |
Just keep an eye on her. She should be fine. :) |
It's a good sign that she threw it up and is now back to normal. Glad everything worked out. |

Dogs eat the tobacco from cigs because its like cat nip. Usually won't hurt her. She will have an upset stomach though. :( |

Update on Holly 1 Attachment(s) This incident did not seem to phase Holly at all. She is fine. Her poop was as normal as can be. She's eating up her food just fine. She didn't throw up again. She is just being herself, running around, beggin for treats, trying to open the door all by herself to go outside. I'm not sure she realizes she's only 10" tall and weighs 2.8 lbs. LOL. Thank everyone for the advice and get well wishes. Holly is fine and I'm checking her mouth every 15 minutes or so. She has not gone outside since then but I will definitely be looking closer at what she puts in her mouth. Next up for my Holly, NICORETTE. LOL . Thanks again guys. |
