Drontal and vomiting Hello. We gave our 3 month old pup Drontal with his dinner like the vet said today and since then he has vomited large amouts twice. We are afraid to go to bed in case he get worst overnight. Is this normal, or should we be worried? |

Can you let the puppy sleep in your bedroom tonight so you can hear if he vomits again? And I agree, don't give another pill and call the vet or check with the ER vet in the morning. Also see if you can get your puppy to lick on some ice cubes if he's not drinking, to avoid dehydration. You can freeze some low sodium chicken broth into ice cubes to make them more appealing. |
seems better Thank you so much for the ice cube advise. He thinks they are treats and eats them up. He vomited once this morning, but did eat breakfast without and vomiting. Thanks again for listening, I'll let you know how he does.:) :animal-pa |
When my pup was on Drontal when he had worms a few months ago, he vomitted also. Sometimes, the pill is a little too strong for their tummy and they will throw up. |
