HELP Mickey's Butt!!! I need advice I woke up to mickey all stuck and his butt really read from pushing his poop out. He's been sad all day and not himself. I know he's in pain as his stomach isn't hard. If he doesn't get better by tomorrow I'm going to call the vet, but I was wondering if there was anything I can put on his butt to help ease the pain for tonight? I know its late and i'm praying someone is on here that can help my baby!!! I hate to see him so upset. I missed class today to to stay home with him! Please help thanks |
Maybe hemroid medicine. Baby pain reliever by mouth. You might give him a warm egg & cook it in grease or add some grease, then warm a towel in the dryer & put it on his tummy. Poor baby. Might need glands cleaned to. |
awww poor baby is right :( I woke up and it looked like his butt was out of his tail. Do I just call the vet tomorrow?? |

The good thing is he isn't bleeding and sounds like he is very irritated. Do you have vaseline? You could rub a bit on his bottom as long as you cleaned him up. Take a warmed wash cloth (rinsed in warm water) and gently clean his bottom. Is he crying? Straining to poop? |
Try a nice warm butt bath and compress that always works for us. After drying I use a little emu oil on the bum and a kiss on the nose. |

Warm water compress is an excellent idea. The vet will most likely prescribe an antibiotic for his irritated bottom to help with the healing. Any first aid ointment will sooth his bottom just make sure it safe for him to us, and he won't lick it off. Take care and I am sure he will be okay until the morning. |

I wouldn't recommend soap because he is very tender. Just make sure the poopy is removed. He must have really strained and everything was dry. This happens sometimes and try to get him to drink more water in the future. |

You could mix a bit of shampoo as long as it isn't full strength in the warm water. Make sure to rinse well and you are a good momma. |

it worked thank you he is wagging his tail again and back to him old self. But I will still monitor him and see how he's feeling tomorow :) and see if he poops lol because that's the most important thing right now |
Our baby got poop stuck on her hair one night and couldn't get the rest of the poop out, so I was freaking and almost took her to the ER. She tried and tried and I didn't know what to do. But I managed to work the poop loose by breaking pieces off and she finished going and everything was fine again. It turns out the hair was keeping her from getting it all the way out and she had to strain to try to push it out of the hair. My guess is that the hair around your boy's butt needs to be shaved. We first cut our girl's butt hair short with one of those blunt end scissors (we had a blunt end baby nail scissor that we used) you can get for cutting their eyebrows at the pet store. But once she was groomed, the groomer shaved her butt hair all off and she hasn't had a problem since. We just check it every week or so and cut the hair that is growing. My husband has a beard shaver that we use to shave it off and she lets us if we do it right. We have to get her on her back while we are rubbing her tummy. Then my husband keeps rubbing her tummy and I shave the hair under her tail and between her legs. She doesn't care because she's getting a tummy rub. You might try shaving that area and see if that cures your baby's constipation. If it continues, try feeding him some honey-nut cheerios for fiber and some apple. Both of those get our baby girl unstuck when she's constipated. |
