Scrambled Eggs I'm trying to think of something to give Toby his pill in. Do you think a scrambled egg would be ok or are eggs bad? |
Eggs are good. i give them to mine on a regular basis. |
he might just take the pill easy i would try first put it in his mouth and hold his mouth closed for a couple second he should swallow it if its chewable alot of them like it ! if you put it in food you need to make sure its small enough piece to swallow cause if he has to chew it he will spit the pill out and eat the egg lol |
I like to use a small piece of chicken, steak, meatballs are good too! This way it's small and I know they ate the whole pill. |
My vet has something called a "Pill Pocket". They are wonderful. You just put the pill inside the small pocket and it acts as a treat. My pups love them. |
You could also put it into crunchy peanut butter. That way they can't feel the difference. :p |
Yeah, Biggy the peanut butter is a great idea. That's what I do when I have to get him to take small pills and he always eats it with no problems. |
I put it between 2 small pieces of sliced cheese - as long as it's bite-sized. Works like a charm. |
ice cream, slides right it... |
I do a little cream cheese. |
I just take a pinch off the corner of a slice of cheese and roll it up in it and she gobbles it right up. now I found out with her heart worm medicine I can just give it to her and she eats it right up with nothing. after all this time, i'd never thought to try that. lol |
pilling the dog We use Cheese Whiz. Works great. |

My baby eats his medicines like food. But also tried some scrambled eggs as well today and he's crazy about them. |
I usually wrap pills in cheese for my furbabies and it works great. I also feed mine scrambled eggs which they love so I'm sure that will work too. They think their heartworm medicine is a treat in itself, so I dont' have to hide it in anything! |
