Teeth extraction Hello all, I know there are tons of messages and threads like this, but theres a soothing feeling when people come together to support and console each other. Please keep my baby Hustler in your thoughts and prayers today. He will be going to the vet to get a few teeth extracted and microchipped. I know these are common procedures, but I hate to think that he has to go through these things. :( I was even scared to get my wisdom teeth out, so I only feel x1000 more for a helpless little puppy. I'm a worry wort, but I'm sure I'm not alone in this feeling... Thanks. Janice and Hustler |
Is this something usual that yorkies have to get done...the teeth extraction. I've seen it a few times on here. Wont their baby teeth fall out and their adult teeth grow in. I wish your baby all the best!!! |
Well i've been told and have read that teeth extraction is common for smaller dogs because their mouths are so small that usually the adult teeth dont grow in the correct places thus not pushing out the baby teeth. Then, the dog ends up with two sets of fully functioning teeth. If not pulled, then it can lead to gum disease and other health problems =S |
Don't forget to brush those toofies. Thinking of you and your sweet baby. It is a good Momma who has knowledge of their Yorkie and insure they have good health. |
