Oh, YTers of infinite wisdom? I'm trying to decide if I should schedule an appointment with Ginger's vet or not. Since yesterday she's had these weird marks on her belly. They look like...clotted blood or something. The best way to describe them would be dried blood on her skin, but it's not, it doesn't come off. When Ging isn't feeling well I always check her belly. It will get red with rash when she's stressed or sick. But this is the first I've seen this. And she doesn't seem to be sick. I'm just wondering what the heck it could be. Has anyone ever seen this before? |
(By the way, the title was supposed to be "YTer's of infinite wisdom...."(dot, dot, dot) Implying you guys have the answers, not questioning if you have any wisdom.) LOL |
I don't have any experience with this, but I hope she's ok. I would suggest taking her to the vet. I always like to play it safe! |
Infinite wisdom? Yes, that would be me. LOL. Nah, but the "red dots" sounded familiar so I found another thread that discusses something that may be similar. Most people suggested an allergy, maybe food or shampoo? My wisdom ends there, though. Good luck. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65565 |
This is the first thread that came to mind when I read your post. Does any of this sound like your situation? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24327 Hope you find answers soon. |
has she been outside laying in the grass? perhaps bug bites? can we see pictures? |
I would go see the vet as you just never know. Did you happen to see this thread? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...hlight=warning Kim |
Thanks for the posts guys. It's so weird; it's not like anything in these previous posts. I called my vet, since I heard it was possible that it was a symptom of this food recall. They couldn't really give me anything substantial without seeing her. She isn't acting sick at all though, so I think I'm going to wait a few days before scheduling an appointment. She hasn't eaten anything different and she doesn't go outside much so that pretty much rules out an allergy. I work in a body shop and would consider cemicals if it didn't show up over the weekend. If it does turn out to be something, I'll post for the next person who comes across this. |
