I don't have any info for you, but I found this and there's a number you can call, they are there 24/7 ad maybe they could tell you what to do... Macadamia Nut Warning they may be popular party fare, but they're no fun for domestic canines. If ingested, macadamia nuts can cause muscular weakness, depression, vomiting, incoordination, tremors, abdominal pain and muscle stiffness, reports Dr. Jill A. Richardson of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC). "So far these symptoms have only been seen in dogs," says Richardson. Although veterinarians aren't sure exactly what component in macadamia nuts makes them toxic, they do know that other nuts don't cause similar problems. If you suspect that your dog has eaten macadamia nuts--or any other potentially dangerous substance--call your veterinarian or 1-888-4-ANI-HELP for round-the-clock telephone assistance. For more information on poison prevention, visit http://www.apcc.aspca.org |
I don't know if inducing vomitting would be the proper thing to do or not but I read that 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide will induce vomitting in a small dog 8 pounds and under. Please check with a vet or a profesional before doing that though! |
Hi Everyone, Kylee is fine!!! It's been 12 hrs since she ate the nut. It was from a White Chuck Macadamia Nut Cookie. Come to find out it was only a piece of the nut not the whole nut. She has no signs of toxic poisoning - Thank God!!! Thanks to all of you who helped us out!!! |
