*very* loud stomach growling I'm a little worried about my boy because his stomach is growling very loud. I was watching a movie with the volume way up and I could hear it all the way across the room, so I put him in my lap to rub his belly and it's still growling 3 hours later. I poked around on the net and found nothing useful.. he eats Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 and his diet has not changed in the past month. His food is left down all the time so he can graze, so I can't imagine that he's hungry and not eating. No vomiting, no diarrhea, no gas, and he does not seem to be in any pain... yet his stomach is still growling so loud! He did get onto the table today and chewed the bamboo strap on my purse, but if there was something stuck in his stomach I think he'd be showing signs of pain. He's acting normal but I'm worried to death and even afraid to sleep! Has this happened with anyone else...? I need advice badly. |
Vixxen does that often. But that will also follow a period of her not eating and then if I don't catch it, she will vomit. I admitted her into the hospital 2 or 3 times before I figured her out and learned how to reverse this for her. I have no idea what causes it though... So if she has not eaten in a while, for whatever reason because I free feed as well, her tummy rumbles SO very loud. I now know she probably hasn't eaten and the only thing I can do is coax her to eat with baby hotdogs!! Its crazy. She loves them and when she won't eat those, I know her tummy is upset! But I have to "force" her to eat some hotdog by making her taste it or even just the juice from it...it seems once she has that tiny bit of flavor on her tongue, it entices her to eat more on her own and then she is fine!! Crazy huh?? So I'm not sure if your baby is having any of these other symtoms, but if so, try that!!! |
They keep waiting on a treat or human food, they are afraid to eat or spoiled to treats. My girl wont eat, then I will give her a treat & then she will. Or I will hand feed her. because if not yes they will throw up because of the empty stomach sickness. So just a few spoonfuls of yogurt or a favorite treat to spark a appetite will help. And ven though you leave the food down doesnt mean they will eat when their hungary, I remeber making my kids food then chasing them around making them eat because if not they wouldnt. |
Pheobe does that sometime, not very often though, I don't worry anymore:rolleyes: |
All 3 of mine have that on and off. Sometimes from not eating and sometimes from eating something that didn't agree with them. My pom gets it anytime I try a different dog food. Hope he's feeling better. |
Ralphie gets that at the start of tummy troubles.. diareah and vomiting..its when he ate something he should not have. The stomach noise first then, the diareah..get ready to watch for that, and if so , you may have to do hamberger and rice.. |
Reese has done it a few times after eating something she was not supossed to. I was told to give her a tablespoon of canned pumpkin for diarreah, upset stomach, or vomiting so you can try that if you need to..it seems to work. Otherwise it will settle down. It really freaked me out the first time it happened too!! |
