VPI Pet Insurance question... Gracie is now finishing day three of very loose stools, not quite runny but almost. I have had her on the bland diet of boiled chicken and rice, and yogurt for three days but it is not improving. It looks like pumpkin! She does not act sick and is eating really well. I am ready to take a fecal sample in to the vet. I have the VPI standard plan. Does anyone know if that standard plan will pay anything towards the fecal test and any meds that Gracie might need? I know it won't pay for special food or supplements. The policy just does not clearly state one way or the other. Gracie has 3 1/2 months left on her puppy package I bought from the Vet so the office visit is already paid for. Thanks for any info you can give. |
I know my VPI plan has a 50.00 deductible so as long as the charges are over 50.00 they should pay. Most if Cali's claims for diahrrea/vomiting are just under 50.00 so I don't submit them. |
Thanks much, Patti. Gracie is doing better, things are starting to firm up so I think I will sit tight for a couple more days before incurring more expense. She is going back to puppy school and needs a fecal clearance no more than 10 days before the start date, so I will kill two birds with one stone later this week. |
i always just submit everything LOL if i get something back, great, if not oh well at least i tried |
