Humane Society Hello all, I was just curious and I was wondering if the humane society youthinizes sick dogs and what would they do with the body afterwards? Has anyone ever experience with youthinizing their dog? What would they do? |
In the county where I used to work as a Deputy County Treasurer the Animal Control would send the dogs to a crematory where they were cremated in a group and disposed of. The cats were frozen and saved. They went to a facility that processes them for school anatomy and biology courses. I hope this is not too graphic. I only have the experience of that one county office. I knew the people that worked there. The Deputy's there all loved animals. It takes a special person to do the jobs that they do. |
1 Attachment(s) It's me again. We had Jack euthanized. We also decided to have him cremated. He was cremated with several other animals at the same time. They keep track of the placement of each animal and you receive your pet's cremains about a week later. You can also pay extra to have them cremated alone. My husband is a woodworker and he made Jack's urn for me. I keep it by my bed. He's now my little "Jack-in-the-Box". |
