It could be a sign of tetanus? There IS treatment, a combo of anti-toxin, antibiotics and fluids...hope a vet can help you tonight! My prayers are with you! |
Ok you guys i feel kinda silly now..So i rushed her to the Vet and the guy in the front desk said.."Oh that looks really bad",:( i was like "Then help her please dont just look at her" ..So he took her in and asked me to fill out some papers, then the vet comes out with a little small piece of a lego and said. "Does this look familiar", I was in shock and look at it and said,Yes that belongs to my son..So What happen was that Kisses had that small piece in her mouth and when she saw me come in she got to happy that she for got about the lego in her mouth and it got stuck all the way in the back of her mouth and even before i took her in i put my pinky finger in her mouth to see if she had something..Guess i missed it  ..Anyway i really glad it wasn't any worse and thank you guys so much... |

I'm happy to hear that's all it was! These babies can sure give us a scare! |
My goodness!!!! I'm so glad that's all it was, but, scary for you!!!! |
Good grief! I'm glad that's all it was :) |
Whew!! I am glad she is ok...nothing serious...thank God!! Dawn |
Oh no!!! Glad it was able to be quickly taken care of. Good reminder for all of us too! |
Whew !!! What a good news, it might have been really serious if she had swollowed it. |
I wish I had seen this sooner before your trip to the vet. I immediately knew what it was as my Tinkerbell has done this 3 times with my son's army men. We have had to throw all army men away because she is obsessed with finding them and chewing off their heads. The plastic locks her back teeth together and I have had to pry it out while she is flipping out scared. I'm glad you're baby is ok! |
Me too...wishing i'd seen it sooner that is. The other night Katie got in the trash (which she rarely does.) My daughter had been to outback and their were rib bones in there...well, she got one, unbeknownst to me, and took it in the whelping box...i found her in there when i went to turn out the lights for the night. Her mouth was stuck open. I opened her mouth and in the very back was a piece of bone stuck sideways that exactly fit the roof of her mouth...it looked like a retainer. CRAZY! Well, i couldn't get it out myself so i had to go wake up my 16 yr old daughter to hold her while i pryed it outa there...IT WAS STUCK STUCK! Took us about 4 or 5 minutes but we got it...she wasn't pleased with the whole situation...but what did she do? Tried to get in the trash to get another! Glad to hear it was nothing serious. Kristie |
wow I am glad it all worked out and she did not swallow it. Make sure your son picks them all up I am always all over my daughter to keep her toys up. |
Thank you guys so much...Yes thank GOD it was nothing serious...But she did scare me really bad :( ..I told my son last night," im sorry baby but i will not buy any lego's or really small toys for a while"..Well atleast ill know what to look for if this was to ever happen again.. |
Oh im soooo happy to hear she is okay, and its nothing serious :) |
Oh man! What a scare!!!! I am so relieved that "all is well", but I just can't help but smiling..... Sometimes I wonder if our Yorkies have meetings where they plot things to scare the wits out of their humans. My theory is that they use our computers late at night when their humans are sleeping:D |
That would of been so scarey, Im glad shes fine, she was prob thinking the whole Time mommy get this lego out of my mouth would you and stop staring at me. LOL |
Okay that was scary!! I am glad that everything is fine now!! |

I would have to agree with you on this one:p ...My little sis. and i were talking about that..She said, " do you think they sit there and talk about what there next move would be to sacre use" and " do you think Hershey, Snuggles and Luv (my sis. chi.) were laughing at us while we were all panicking and running around like crazy trying to find out what was wrong with Kisses". , I said, i dont know but if they did they really good at it:D |

Thank God that's all it was! When I first read the thread, I was wracking my brain trying to think what it could possibly be. |
