I haven't posted on here to many times but have learned so much from you guys. Thanks to a yorkie talker I caught my Bobo's liver shunt early and he was able to get started on his meds and special food pretty quick and he is doing much better now. He even has an appetite at times now. How great is that. I think I had posted that we were going to go to UT for his surgery after much debate we have decided to stay closer to home and have it done at UF. I ask that you all please say a prayer for my guy during this rough time.
If anyone has any advice on helping with his recovery please let me know.

aww that's sad I'll keep him in my prayers for you. I hope everything goes well and Bobo gets better soon.

I will defenitely will keep your little guy in my prayers for his surgery to be a success. I know Bobo is going to do well and recover fast. Please keep us posted. Hugs to you all. :ghug:

I am sorry to hear your little Bobo has to have surgery Tammy.

Thank you all so much. It is great to be able to have someone to listen and offer advice. His surgery will be on this Friday I will keep you posted.

Hi Tammy:

Willow and I wish Bobo well on his surgery. We will keep him and you in our prayers and Willow and I send you much love and kisses for a speedy recovery. You tell that little guy we want to hear that he is eating again and playing like a good little yorkie boy should.

Praying for your baby. What were the symptons? Mine is 4 months old and 4.5 lbs. she has had the poops with a grainey substance and vomited up some yellow thick mucus.

Bobo has never had a good appetite, never enjoyed eating, he had a few hypoglycemic incidents. Then he 2 episodes in 3 days and I wrote about them here and someone responded that their pup had those symptoms with his liver shunt so I took him to the emergency clinic and then a $1000.00 later we had our diagnosis. He is at the hospital right now waiting for his surgery tomorrow, I just talked to the person in charge of him and he had not eaten since being there, I am like please go try to get him to eat. She said she would, surely they know he needs to eat. I think I will call her back and if he didn't go over there again.

Bobo's surgery went well
 
Thanks to all of the prayers and good wishes Bobo has made it through surgery. They had no complications during surgery a very straight forward surgery, also were able to remove the testicles. He was awake about an hour after surgery and so far no seizures, which I was told was a big risk following surgery. They should be calling with an evening report soon.
