Hello everyone and indeed it is a very Happy New Year!!! This morning about 10:30 Bella's dad called to tell me she had come home. He said they continued to look for her and call her all evening but finally, about 11pm or so, decided to go to bed. They apparently have a cat and they left the front door, the wooden one open with I guess the screen door closed because the cat sits by the door whenever it is open and they were hoping either Bella would see the cat or the cat would see Bella overnight. Anyway, just before midnight when the fireworks were really starting to go off around here, mom decided to go out and call her one last time. No luck. So they went on to bed. Then, they heard a scratching noise and jumped out of bed. Bella was scratching at the door!!!!!! Dad said he ran outside in his underwear! One minute after midnight! Said he hadn't had a dog for 20 years and had no idea he could love a little dog so much. But he said he cried just as hard as his wife while she was gone. The kicker to this story is that they rescued Bella. She's 3 years old and has had 3 litters already! They have since given her a home where she's loved just for herself and not because she produces babies and have had her spayed. The other weird thing? Now we have never met but I was telling him about my girls Abby and Lucy and their next door neighbor has 2 yorkies named what? Abby and Lucy! Needless to say, we're going to get together soon! So a new home for Bella, a new year and new friends! Glory to God! |

OOOOO, that is WONDERFUL NEWS! I always hate to open these thread of lost babies.... but I do, say prayers, and hope they all come home! I am very glad to hear that the baby made her way home.... After so many babies being lost lately, I have made SURE that mine have their collars and will have Hope Microchipped really soon! |
Thank God she came home!!!! Looks like 2007 is starting out great! |
Great News! We lost ours about 4 times and she is 13 yrs old now. She was returned thank God. Signs are the best thing you can do besides praying. My 13 yr old wonders off easily when put out to go. I plan on getting our new puppy microchiped for what its worth. |
What a happy story!!! One of mine went through a phase where everytime I opened the door or anyone else he would bolt out of the door and take off! Very annoying!! Needless to say, I live in a townhouse condo complex that is rather large. However we do live off a main road that is very very busy! He was only gone for a 1/2 hr at the most one time, that was very scarey to me! I went around the neighborhood just calling his name, it was pitch black out and I couldnt see anything... I was just hoping hed come to me, and after a very long, scarey 1/2 hour he did! Ive been more diligent in a) locking my doors, so guests cannot walk in on their own, which gives me time to pick up my boys before the door is opened and b) become very adept at opening and sliding out the door before they can get out! I don't want to go through losing him again! |
