Peeing anywhere 2 days after spay She'd been getting on the pad to pee for the last 2 months. I had her spayed Tues, and on several occasions she's peed nowhere near the pad! Is this normal 2 days after spay? |
It is possible that she may have a urinary tract infection and just can't hold it. I had that happen to me, however, it was an older yorkie with an infected uterus, but it's still possible. |
Actually, someone else posted about this same thing and the response was that generally this is normal after spay surgery. If it continues, definitely call the vet though. I hope she's doing well! |
She's really done great! Today is Saturday, and I had her spayed Tuesday. Like nothing ever happend. Having a hard time keeping her from jumping on the sofa, as they didn't want her to do any jumping this first week. Other than peeing where she pleases, I'd never known she'd been spayed if I hadn't taken her myself. |
Emma did this too, and there are lots of other posts on here about that. She stopped doing it in about 5-7 days, and was back to normal. My theory on it is since they move all the organs and muscles aside when they do the spay, our little girls don't realize they have to GO until they REALLY have to GO! After about a week, the swelling goes down and they feel better. Hang in there! |
