Yorkies and addisons disease My little Megan is sick again (posted earlier) she is back at the emergency vets where they will run tests and do another ultrasound. But the Vet asked if there was anything in the last few days that could have upset her and explained we had new carpet layed (lots of strange people and the house torn apart). She mentioned Addison's does anyone know how the disease will affect her if she has it? |
My sister-in-law has addisons disease. She has to take steroids but she lives and otherwise completely normal life. I'm sure it's probably the same with canines. Best of luck to your little one! I hope it isn't anything serious and that she gets to feeling better really soon! (hugs!) |
Megan Megan doesn't have Addisons disease, I almost wish she had then we would know what is going on Next step is doing a scope and take a biopsy of her stomach. As of now she is feeling fine, she is on a food program that is a protein she has never eaten. One thing that is bothering me, she has been seen by the cat litter box more than once, and one of the times she threw up her mussel smelled like poop. Could that make her throw up blood? Thanks |
I would think yes it can, cat poop in itself is not healthy for your little one add the litter to it and its just like sand paper. My guess is it could possibly scratch so bad as to bring blood. Did you ask your vet about the cat poop? |
I just read that cat litter can be toxic to your dog. |
