?Gimpy? I have an 11 month old female that sometimes will not walk on her right rear leg. Sometimes it is normal, but sometimes she acts as if she hurt it. Has anyone ever had this similar problem? |
Her knee could be slipping. Ruthie's knee would slip out of joint sometimes while she was running - she would kindof hop like a bunny and hold one of her back legs up and against the other back leg. It may not be painful, but it's uncomfortable to put weight on it while it's slipped out. It may not be anything seriuos, but has your vet ever checked her for LP? |
Bella hurt her lag a couple of weeks ago trying to jump up on the couch. Since then she has slowly started to use it again, although when she runs or walks fast she holds it up. Could she have hurt herself?? |
Adonis tore a nail way up too far. When it bothered him, he wouldn't use the leg peroid. I had to cut the hair off his foot to see what was going on, after I seen him licking it alot. Does your baby lick the foot? If so, check nails. |
You might want to get it checked. My sister has a pom and her knees pop out of place then pops back. There is surgery that fixes the problem. The surgery is about 900-1500:eek: We are trying to find a way to raise money because she is a student and cannot afford this. Off the subject, does anyone have any suggestions? She is ok sometimes and other times she lifts her leg. |
How long has she been doing this! She may have hurt her leg - and when she favors it - it might be getting better. But then she starts using it again - and it bothers her again. Or she may have a bad knee as others mentioned. If her problem continues - she should probably see the vet. Good luck! Carol Jean |
