Well it looks like ive got a sick one
 
Jewels threw up earlier and I didnt think anything about it untill my Husband said she smelled like poop and I picked her up and she had diahrea all over the back of her. I gave her a bath and got her all cleaned up. Anyway does anyone know how much pepto bismal I can give her I cant find my first aid sheet

I'm sorry to hear your furbaby is sick :( ...I'm sorry I can't help you with the pepto question...Do you think you could call your vet and ask?

I am going to call them tomorrow I just really wanted to give her some pepto tonight

Our vet suggests 1cc of Imodiam...hope that helps. Not sure if it would be the same amount of pepto.

Poor baby:( I don't know if I'd give her any pepto just yet, if she ate something bad, it's best for it to all come out. Just make sure she stays hydrated. Is she still eating and drinking?

The Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook says to give 0.5 to 1.5 ml per pound orally every 12 hours.
Also, you can give Dramamine 2 to 4 mg per pound orally for motion sickness. This may help with the nausea and vomitting.

Poor baby! Hope she feels better soon. Both of mine have been sick since I tried switching their food. I give Cali a 1/2 teasponn on Pepto and she is 5 lbs

This may sound silly - but at least it's not something I worry about -

If any of my dogs ever seem to be having an upset stomach - I give them a Tums. At least this cuts down on the acid and helps take away some of their discomfort ---if they are having any.

I'd probably give my Yorkie a half a Tums or something like that (and I know more wouldn't hurt him.) He thinks it's candy and would eat all that I would give him (I know because he is always stealing them all the time.)

The handbook sounds like a good item to put on my Christmas list. Hope Jewels feel better when daybreaks.

Thanks for asking. She hasnt thrown up at all today. I also havent seen any diahrea on her and she had no accidents in the house so I think she just had a little bug and she is better. I hope so anyway

I just saw this - it really sounds like what Chanel had ...is she still ok now ?? Poor baby -

My vet said for Chanel when she was sick - 1/4 of 1/4 of a pepcid ac was ok to give her but as always - check with YOUR vet :) :) and all the best to her...it's so hard to see them sick :(

Glad to hear she's on the mend...poor little Jewels!! She must have gotten a 24 hour bug...I just hate it when our furbabies get sick...they can't tell you how they feel or where it hurts...I wish they could talk!! Well, maybe not! LOL

Well she had diahera on the back of her again today so I think i will have to take her to the vet tomorrow

That's JUST What I went thru with Chanel - I swear Girl - the day before we went to the vet - she had NINE Butt baths - (and yes I counted) I really don't know what was wrong even now but it lasted about 4 straight days even on medication and with 2 vet visits...

They can tell you right in the office if you get bloodwork done what the results are - thats what I did - at least you can rule out stuff that way -

but I just bet she's going to be fine - just do bland food or rice and Chicken till you can see the doctor and good luck -

i hope your baby is feeling better today. I give mine 3cc's pepto or kaopectate per the vets instructions. the two that get that amount are three and four pounds . i have found that the kaopectate actually works better.
