Any news yet?? Hope she will be ok. |
I'm sooo sorry to hear the news! I'm sending lots of hugs and prayers! |
It's so hard when you can't get any definite answers. We'll be praying for Annie and sending hugs and puppy kisses. I hope she will have a quick and full recovery. |
Big prayers for Annie! Be brave, baby girl - your Mommy's gonna take GOOD care of you! |
aww thankyou everyone for your kind words:) annie seems to be getting better each day so i think i was right it was not a stroke as it would be months b4 she got any better so i think it is vestibular disease. ive been around a dog after stroke and they were completely different to annie, annie is eating and playing just fine its just that she cant balence properly. as she seems much better each day i will not be going to another vet as with vestibular problems the vet cant do anything as its a inner ear inbalence which i think is due to her having ear mites when i first got her which have been a problem to get rid of, she now has some more drops and i think they will sort the problem. i will be taking her back to the vets in a months time so i will see what he says then about her inprovement as he did say we will know if it was a stroke by then as she will not of inproved by much if it was a stroke. with vestibular problems she will get better on her own in a shorter time. thankyou all again for your support and i will let you all know how shes doing:) |
I hope your Annie feels better every day! I am with you on this one. It really sounds like Canine Vestibular Syndrome. I have an older Golden Retriever that has had it 2 times. The first time it happened I thought she had a stroke too, but my vet thought vestibular syndrome and she was right. Within a week she was back to her normal self. Even the head tilt went away eventually. It is hard to watch them with it though. Montana didn't eat for a week because she was so dizzy it made her sick to her stomach! I carried her up and down the steps for 2 days til she started compensating and feeling better. |
I am so glad Annie is doing better. I just read your post. I never even heard of such a thing in dogs. We learn something new everyday on YT. I hope she continues to improve each day until she is her old self. Buddy sends puppy kisses to Annie.:aimeeyork Carol |
