My 7 month old Yorkie licked powder from my shoe help! He was ok this morning didnt really see any change in his behavior, i had my shoes set out to get dressed for work and i always put baby powder in them when i go to put my shoes on i noticed my yorkie licked the powder out of one shoe and he left one lick mark on the inside of the other shoe. Piccolo did the same thing ( not from the shoes, though ). I left my rubber gloves sprinkled with baby powder on the chair and he got hold of them. He was fine - no problems what so ever. |
whew! Thanks you guys i was worried i mean he didnt look or act different this morning so i figured he was ok. Just wanted to have peace of mind that's all thanks for settling my nerves:p |
I don't know about powder, but everytime I put lotion on, Roxy proceeds to lick it off. Maybe that would explain her sometimes "strange???" behavior. LOL, just kidding. I don't think a little powder will cause any harm, besides, look at what they like to eat.........WORMS, BUGS, POOP!!!! :D Go to the "What's the strangest thing your yorkie has ever eaten" thread, you won't worry about a little powder after reading that. |

Talc is toxic, very closely related to asbestos. I am sure he is probably just fine. It has more long term effects (cancer) than immediate, unless inhaled into the lungs. Many babies have died using baby powder, can't understand why it is still on the market. Switch to baking soda, it will do a better job and be healthier. Here's a link to talc and the dangers: http://www.preventcancer.com/consume...etics/talc.htm |
