Is there any way you could send that link to me or put it here??? I would love to see the write up. Thanks Val PS I am still learning also. |
Your baby Hi, I am not sure you got the post. not so sure I am doing this right.. Do not panic.. there is no need... from what you posted your baby is know stable.. The little pup Mimi... I know her well, I have a picture on my pc of her.. I spoke the the rescue mom before I had sugery on my Tigs.. I also have a copy of her x-rays that were sent from his foster mom to me.. will be glad to foward them to you! That may help you to understand AAI.. I don't know your vet... but not all local vet's know much about this.. I myself could see there were problems just by looking at my boys x-ray.. But If me ... I would take peppa to a Vet University hospital.. If you send me the state you are in I will see where the Vet. university hospital is in your general area... Like I said no reason to panic! Just while you are waiting to get the x ray please guard his neck.. take no chance of him falling. .. do not use collars or leash... to walk... do not force the neck up or down or in any direction.. A lost my baby... he was much worse than you peppa... but I do feel that if I had the information early.. he may have been saved.... I just want to help you... and if I am wrong... I would be happy to be wrong..! but if I am write... time could make all the difference.. I have some information I could send you.. also a copy of little MImi's x-rays.. be glad to help you in any way I can.. email me at.. juannell@msn.com Nell... |

Thank goodness we have never, ever had a leash attached to Pippa's collar-she has only used harnesses for walks because of their fragile trachea's. I learned that early on and so glad for Yorkie Talk or I would have never known! I am trying to stay calm until I can get an x-ray. I think my local vet will be very open to discussing this and xraying her neck. As far as a university vet hospital-I don't think Arkansas has one...I looked and looked online last night and didn't come up with anything, so it would be helpful information to know the closest. I don't even know where the closest neuro-surgeon vet would be...again, I'm hoping my Vet has all this referral info. I am going to call them as soon as they open this morning. I will keep you all advised! |
Tiffany, I was just checking to see if you had any x-rays done on your baby., And a quick update on Pippa. Hope to hear that your sweetie is doing just fine. Val and Babybear |
Pippa is going to have an Xray Friday. I will let you all know the outcome. I have to leave for Chicago on Friday afternoon, so I probably will not have an opportunity till Tuesday the 24th to get back on...but I promise I will let you guys know! |
I'll be praying for good results until then. |
OH I can't wait to see how Pippa makes out. I will be on vacation this weekend until Tuesday, but if I can get my hands on a computer I will be checking. Val Good luck |
Update Pippa's X ray looked normal to her Vet. She also had a normal exam. My vet looked up info on AAI and just to be sure he is sending the films to a vet radiologist in OK city to consult. I am relieved for the moment but still anxious to hear more. I will let you guys know! |
Is Pippa still doing well? :) |
Hi I am checking on Pippa's progress and if mom has hear anything back on the x-rays from the Universaty. Hoping all is going well. Val and Babybear |
Sorry I didn't update sooner! I've had some family issues and have not been online at all! The radiologist said Pippa's xray is normal, Thank Goodness!! We are so relieved. Still no explanation for what happened, but no more recurrences of anything either. She's acting completely normal. Thank you everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. I am just hoping it's not a missed diagnosis and will keep AAI in the back of my mind! |
