diarrea This morning i gave Hailey some yogurt(1 or 2 teaspoon) after she had her dry food and now she has diarrea. She had 2 diarrea accident so far, breakfast and lunch. What should i feed her for dinner?Should i keep on giving her dry food or is there anything else i could feed her? What about drinking water?Thank you . |
When my baby has diarrhea after eating new food..usually too many treats. I just get her back on a regular diet and it goes away quickly. I know some people recommend rice and chicken. Don't hold her food or water. If the problem continues for some time you might want to give your vet a call..the biggest danger is dehydration. |
When either of my little ones have diarrea I give them a boiled egg and dry toast. That normally does the trick. I hope your baby gets better soon. |
Is it the first time you gave her yogurt? |
Nope.Usually i give her 1 teaspoon of yogurt and she never had a probem but this morning i gave her almost 2 teaspoon so i think that's why she got diarrea. |

just wondering Today is the 2nd day she has diarrea so i was wondering........ how long did your babies had it for? Also, i've read on some posts that boiled chicken and rice could help.As of now ,i am only feeding her dry food. |
I never let mine have diahrea any longer than 3 days and not go to a vet. They have meds that will clear it right up. One time Chachi had it for over a week. I feed him chicken and rice but it didnt firm up his stools. It firmed up by two days with the meds |
Hiya!!! Try out the boiled egg and dry toast, it always works for mine normally by only having it once. |
That baby really may need to go to the vet. She may have picked something up like Coccidia. My little Hootie girl had diarreha when she was a tiny baby and I thought it was just from food or something she ate. But I finally took her to the vet and she definately had coccidia. But after I started her on meds, the coccidia cleared up right away. It is better to be safe than sorry with these little bitty ones. Please take her to a vet to have her checked for parasites. Hope she feels better soon. :( |
