Iam not sure if i am just worrying myself to death or not..... i noticed some blood in one of my babies stool tonight i called the vet to see what he said but he thinks he will be fine until morning.... iam just so worried he is sick ....he is so small and things can change so quick with a little yorkie you know please give me some info on what this might be!!:cry2: :cry2:   |
Not sure what it could be... but I'll be praying for him. |
Taffy did this once when she was about 1 yr old. I took a sample of her poo with the blood to my vet. He gave her a antibotic shot and told me not to give her to much human food anymore. It cleared upped the next day. Good luck and Taffy:aimeeyork , Baby:animal36 and I will be praying for little ones. |
Don't worry the same thing happened to my baby. The vet ran tests on him and he said that his stomach was irritated because we've been feeding him people food. They sent us home with some meds and he was fine within a few days. |
It could be just an upset stomach, infection or a parasite. I'm sure he will be fine until morning. Let us know what you find out at the vets. |
Thank You!!! Thanks to everyone that posted mabey its because i gave him a bite of my dinner last night and its just catching up with him......i am still up with him just to be on the safe side but he is acting better but i will still take to the vet in the am....... i just cant stand the thought of something happening to one of my babys ....... i would really die i think!!!!!!!!!!! but iam sure all you yorkie lovers feel the same way......so just cut back on the people food you think i just really give them one bite each night at dinner and they look forward to it( i will tell you)..... most of the time its veggies or they get fruit but last night it was ribs......:animal36 :thumbdown |
I don't like feeding my dogs from the table, but some foods are okay Some human foods are not good for dogs, even cooked meat - dogs can't digest cooked fat - and vegetables are bad with the added salt, pepper and butter. The blood definitely could be from the fat in the ribs. The vet's usually advise to put them on a food fast and then feed boiled white chicken, no skin and cooked white rice. Don't know if I totally believe in a food fast if they are small, but maybe a short one under a vet's supervision. |
All Good!!!!!! I took V:animal36 egas to the vet and they said he just had an upset belly he is doing better today and now i know not to feed the boys table food!!!!;) ;) |
