vomititing same time each day??!!! Duke has been throwing up at 4 am for the past three mornings and then is totally fine the rest of the day. He is on antibiotics for a bladder infection that he takes twice a day. He started the medicine on Thursday. Isn't that weird that it's been the same time every morning? Also it's clear vomit??!! I'm not sure whether I shoudld be concerned or not. What do you think?? Penny Daisy and Duke:animal36 |
I would call the vet. Timmy use to vomit bile almost every morning and someone from YT recommended to feed him a little something before bedtime. I started doing that and no more vomit until yesterday he threw up again. I noticed that when he's on a empty stomach for more than 8 hrs he will vomit bile. |
Has he just been doing this since he started the antibiotics? If so, then that could be it and I would call the vet about changing them. Sometimes their stomachs just can't tolerate a certain antibiotic and it can upset their stomachs. Be sure to never give them on an empty stomach. |
Cali has to be fed every 8-9 hours or she throws up the foamy bile. I feed her 3 times a day. She still will occassionaly throw up early morning but not to often. |
dogs usually throw up bile in the morning after they haven't eatten in a while. you can call your vet and ask them if you can give him a pepcid |
I am having the same issue right now... The past 3 mornings I noticed that Diezel throws up around 8am right after we get up. I noticed this happened 1 day last week also. It is the usual foamy bile. My concern with him is he was diagnosed with a minor liver shunt. The dr. told me to continue him on his normal diet. But I continued to give him boiled chicken and it seems like since I started mixing his dog food in with the chicken this started. I don't know if I am just trying to put these 2 together for a reason or not but could it be possible that the dog food is making him get sick? Or is my baby having the same problem with getting sick after not eating for 8+ hours? |
take him to the vet to rule out everything else, then if the vet can't come up with an explaination ask him about giving your pup some pepcid. pepcid, is like the famotadine that the vet gives to calm upset stomachs. the last vet i worked for would prescrib pepcid all the time when he heard about vomiting in the morning before eating. it usually only happens in little dogs. look in to it. |
