Gucci Is Not Herself
 

I am a little concerned, Gucci hasn't been herself since she is home, I posted that I have to force her to eat, in which she ate a little more yesterday. she doesn't have any interest. She is not herself and I do understand that she had a major surgery but she is not active during the day she is a little better but at night she just lays there. The doctor called me while I was driving yesterday and I couldn't really understand him it was a bad connection and I was on my way to appt. I have been really busy with work. He said that her biopsy came back with some sort of dysplasia, which he expected with her sickness. I called the hospital last night and the tech told me to keep an eye on her during the night. So of course I didn't sleep well. I called the surgeon and hoping that he returns my call this morning...
Guys please keep those prayers coming, I don't know if this is normal behavior being she had the operation.on Thurs. Is there anyone who had this similar operation or any other surgery and their dog acted this way? I am sick to my stomach this morning. Gucci went through the surgery and critical period just great now I am scared... Please any input is appreciated .. Gina

I posted on your other thread, but I wanted to post here, too!!!! You need extra hugs and extra prayers this morning.

I was thinking that instead of waiting on the doctor to call you, maybe you could call him this morning? You know how those drs are...busy busy busy.

Thank you for answering, I did call the dr back but he is in surgery, they said he will call me asap. Gucci looks like she is depressed. I hope to hear from him shortly if not I will keep on top of him and call , call , call, till I get answers...

Prayers for little Gucci and hugs for you. I know you're scared. I hope you can get some answers from other people who have been through this and from your doctor.

Gucci is a a little more so alert this afternoon, I took her outside for a walk in front of my property to get some air. The surgeon called and said they all respond to recuperating with surgery differently. I hope she gets stronger each day.. Thanks>...

Good. I doubt she'll do better each day. It will probably be like taking a couple of steps forward and one step back, as an example, for awhile. I haven't been through it, but that's just a guess. We'll keep Gucci in our prayers and hope she gets good results when you take her back, too. Hugs:)

Just an update.. Gucci is so much better today, eating , drinking and more alert...Keep those prayers coming :)

I'm so glad Gucci is feeling a little better today. Poor little thing. She's been thru alot, so she probably will have good days and not so good days for awhile. But the worst is behind her, so now she just has to work on her recovery. These little babies can go thru so much and still be so strong. Prayers for her continued improvement and puppy slurps from Roxy.:)
