Oh Yea I am glad you are getting your money back from the Breeder. You should take it and get another yorkie puppy when you are ready |
Yes, this is absolutely a puppy mill. Just because a facility is seeming clean, doesn't make it any less a commercial puppy selling operation. If the place were as clean as it appears (probably cleaned right before puppy buyers appeared) you would have been much less likely to have gotten a pup with coccidia...it is transmitted from infected feces, and water. i did speak with my vet about him not mentioning the tube feeding.. his reply was.. i know how you are you never want to let go but she was so sick there was nothing us or you could do to save her.. her body was to weak..and she wasnt healthy when you got her what was keeping her going was your will to take care of her.. and not give up so she couldnt. he said if i had left her to be cared for at the vets off she would have passed sooner. when she heard my voice she would perk up..he does want to do an autopsy to see what all was wrong.. should i let him? or just let her go on and be cremated |
But when you DO get another puppy..should you come accross another operation like this.. RUN! Please really research where you should be getting a healthy puppy before buying another one to save yourself this heartache again. A new puppy into the family isn't supposed to be this way. :( Quote:

ABSOLUTELY! Should the breeder NOT send the money back, that necropsy willl give you the ammunition you need to prove her/his negligence, and be able to do something about it! It will also help set your mind at ease that you did everything you could. Quote:

dazzlin what part of tennesee are you in? i know a yorkie breeder there she has been the one to give me all the yorkies i have had.. some people have given her distrssed puppies and she helps them when she gets to many she calls me..shes in nashville |
Yes! My pups live with me in my home! I would consider it a puppy mill! |
i do get the impression my vet doesnt know as much about the problems with yorkies. there has been several things i had found on web pages and asked him about..he didnt mention tube feeding.. and he did say my dogs here werent in danger of getting it because there older.. and have there immune systems built to resist it but on pages ive read thats not true.. its kinda hard for me to understand the things hes not said about this pup when he has saved the others that had been given up on elsewhere.. i dont know what to think. |
I'm in eastern TN right outside of Knoxvillle, Grew up in Nashville though.. who is this you're talking about? You can PM me if you want. Quote:

That is totally untrue..the older dogs can absolutely get it, and so can you. Quote:

I didnt know humans could get coccidia. I figured other dogs in the house could get it. Hmm I learned something today. |
devoted to Lucy! I'm so sorry your puppy didn't make it. I'd been following this thread and was really hoping....... God bless |
her name is mae lanford.. shes been breeding them for 30 yrs.. and there treated as babies.. the moms deliver there pups in her living room where she is always there to supervise shes the one who has gotten me into taking pets others will euthanize. i was going to get one from her in september. but my husband come home with this one the breeder was selling her for almost nothing..and she was so adorable i couldnt say no. but u know what they say if someones not asking for much somethings up |

Glad you are getting your money back. Lil Britches would be glad too. I'm sure she's really grateful for the loads of love you gave her in the short time you were together. She couldn't have had a better mommy to be at her side and fight for her like you did. Good for you. May the Lord shine His blessings down upon you.:tinyheart |
I am so sorry your baby lost her fight. You did everything you could for her. You have a pretty awesome vet. And you are an angel to do what you do for all those unwanted pets. Can I come live at your house? |
I'm very deeply sorry for the loss of your puppy! This breeder needs to be shut down! I'm sure glad you were able to get a refund, but please do not get another baby from her! good luck to you! |
I'm so sorry you lost your puppy ...... after reading where you bought your yorkie - I do feel you did go to someone who probably doesn't care at all about where the puppies go or what happens to them. Back 11 years ago when my husband and I purchased Tessa - my cocker - I now know that was a small puppy mill too. It was really horrible and I can still hear the really loud barking in my head. All I wanted to do was get her out of there and love her. She was lucky - all she had wrong is a very bad underbite....nothing like what your puppy had. I'm so sorry. |
im so sorry for being so slow i have had family and neighbors come in and out this afternoon..they come to check on me.. i dont have any children so when i loose a pup or animal its like loosing a kid. and plus she has had family and neighbors researching and helping her too. so there also upset.. |

Even a breeder who breed only Yorkies can run a puppymill . I knew a Yorkie breeder and she had 200 little ones caged in a shed in her backyard . |

Niteshade, I am so sorry for your loss. I am suprised the breeder is giving you back the money, most unreputable breeders would not. And it is a puppy mill. Either way, you didn't deserve to fall in love with a puppy only to have her die shortly after you got her. I would have been soooo angry with the breeder. You are not alone, several people have had the same thing happen to them. You live and learn. Once again I am so sorry you had to go through this, I hope you can one day again get a baby from a good reputable breeder who will bring you lots of love and joy for years to come!! When you are ready for another baby, do your research and ask anyone here on YT for advice for looking for a good reputable breeder who will give you a beautiful healthy puppy. |
I am sorry for your loss :( I just went through this a few weeks ago with my little girl and I can tell you the people here at yt are amazing. My baby was also 9 weeka old and was at the vet for the 6 days I had her. What state did you buy her from? My breeder is refusing me a refund saying its not their fault and has not offered me another pup (not that i would take another one from them). |

OMG!! Coccidia is very contagious and how on earth can all these animals not become infected. I also feel as others do that her condition was probably also a hereditary liver problem. Bad Breeding!!!! I would make darn sure that everyone in the area knew what this woman was doing and try to put a stop to her operation. If only by word of mouth. How many more owners and puppies, dogs, will suffer if no one tries to stop her. I think we should all go picket in front of her house.   I want to go hug all her babies so they can get some human loving!!!! HOW SAD! |
Can you turn the bad breeder in to autorities? If your dog has coccidia and other problems you know all 150 of those dogs are suffering from coccidia and who knows what else. Poor babies. :( I am so sorry for your loss |
I am so very sorry for your loss :( , and im hoping that someone will be able to close this puppy mill down, those poor dogs  . I wish you all the luck in the world if you do decide to get another pup  |
Sick and dying baby I just want to say you are one of God\'s angels. God bless you for all you do for your precious animals. I am so very sorry. I just lost one breech, but do have a little girl. May God bless you and comfort you. I know he will see you through this. Mollymae and Faith\'s Mom |
so sorry your baby passed. what was the name of the breeder you got this pup from? |
