Shana site has them and she goes into detail about them. Yes they are washable. Heres a link to her site www.tinkerbellscloset.com |
Benji's never stays stuck out but he goes crazy with his frog. He humps the frogs head and luckily he only does it to his frog. Nothing else. So when we have guests over the frog goes up and he is fine. I have never seen a dog do it as fast and as much as Benji does. And he has to have an audience. He can't just do it by himself. Oh well, boys will be boys.....hehe |
Toby's "girlfriend" is a Tickle Me Elmo doll... and occasionally he gets a little more "into it" than others, resulting in the same problem. Last time it happened, I took my spray bottle with water in it -- and sprayed him down. Everything went back to normal within a couple of minutes. I've heard that you need to be careful that it doesn't stay out too long, as it can be damaged, and you may have to have surgery to "fix" the problem. I don't know that clothes or belly bands would help -- but try it and let us know. PC Mom -- I've also heard about the sugar trick -- but it just seems to me like there could be some damage, as sugar is granulated... seems like it might hurt! I'm just going to keep the squirt bottle handy, as that is what seemed to help Toby! Luckily, his "intimate" encounters don't happen too often. |
Mojo has done this several time (SEVERAL) but only to his blankie. The vet said it happens because when they are with a female, they are stuck together longer and of course, er, inside of her......anyway, the vet said it is normal and sometimes the shaft (skin) is pushed back over the, hum, balls...many it is fully out and erected. When this happens to Mojo, he is in shock or something, and can't move around much, because, er, "it" pretty much hangs to the floor. The vet said that it will usually go back in on its own over time - normally once they calm down and usually after they lick it several times. She said that sometimes the end will be stuck out and bright red, after everything else has shrunk back into the shaft. She said that you can use water or some KY jelly and gently work/ease the skin back around it. I heard that neutering does cut it down, but it usually doesn't stop it. My husband still freaks out when this happens.....he is proud of his "studly-manly" dog! What a freak! |
I'm hoping the clothes will work. He sleeps in baby oneseys (spell?) and I've never seen him hump with something covering. Last night he had his onesey on and went up to one of his many "girlfriends" but didn't do anything to it. Hopefully it will continue to help, but I'll definitly let you guys know as time goes by. |
