plum seed HELP!! I think Gypsy just ate a plum seed. I think because I was sure I left it in a bowl with my pumpkin seed hulls (my biggest vice). I forgot it and went to do something when I came back into the room she was in the bowl and the seed is gone. She must have ate it. I do not remember throwing it away. What should I watch for? I know it is not good for her. |
If you are 100% sure she ate it you may want to call the emergency pet hospital they are toxic....:( |
I just called the emergency vet who looked it up. They said plum seeds are not toxic. They said cherry pits are though. So I am not panicing as much, though I will watch her. Did you know if you call the aspca poison control center they charge 55.00 consult fee? |
I looked at 3 web sites and they said they were...Sorry...No I glad they aren't but thats why I told u that...but I am glad you called anyway....:) |
I thought they were too, so i was in major panic mode, and to top it off, I am here alone with her. Hubby got called into work. Thanks for answering. I have been to that animal er before and I trust them, but it helps they looked it up. :rolleyes: |
I bet you were going crazy, I would have lost it by now, if one of my had, & I had seen it on those websites...But I always call too, just to make sure....Go get you a cold drink.....you deserve it...:) |

Poor Gypsy, she laid down on the loveseat and went to sleep, and there I was calling her name to ck on her. She may not get much sleep tonight. I went got a tall glass of Lemonade :p I grew up here in West Knoxville. |
