Thank god you found it. I wonder if it is unfound if it becomes infected. Yuck I would have been grossed out too. |
I don't think you're gross. i KNOW how it is . WE have so many flies here it's like a 3rd world country. EVERY SUMMER I say I'm moving because of them. We have SWARMS of them here NO LIE. It's from the corn and horse farms and Goats down the road and a freakin PIG FARM none the less ... that we didn't know EXISTED when we bought the house because it was WINTER and no wind that day:eek: EVERY 2 days I have to scrub out my outside trash cans because millions of flies laying eggs and hatching MAGGOTS. If I wait a few days it looks slike a MAGGOT FARM.. It's SO GROSS. I bleach my cans once a week. So all in all I KNOW it's gross but it can happen to the cleanest of us if there are tons of flies.. SHOOT... even just ONE:rolleyes: By the way..i'm sitting here typing with one hand holding a FLY SWATTER with the other:p |

Parker is doing verrrrry well today, the wound is almost 100% closed and almost all swelling has gone down!!! I trimmed some of his hair yesterday.... he's doing such a great job!! OH Denise.. he now knows how to Sit, and Down on command... he's doing very well!!!... still working on not pooping on my deck LOL, but we'll get there I'm sure! he'll go by the deck door when he's gotta go.. he accidently went pee in the house, but that's because everyone was busy!!! YAY PARKER!! |
I wanted to mention... if the skin is humid there doesn't need to be a wound, they have a sucker mouth or hook something like that, they can lay an egg and it can still hatch, then it'll go into the skin, hatch then leave.. sometimes they DON"T leave.. soooo they don't just wounds..so if it's hot, watch your pups especially if they have long hair!! = ) the eggs are white and sticky... also.... if your pups hair has urine or feces in it, that obviously attracts them to lay eggs!!! but remember even the cleanest, hairless dog can have something happen to it if their skin gets humid... NO MORE MAGGOTS!!! lol |
Freaking gross!!!! I better start watching mine very closely!!!!! |
