Kaci doesnt feel too well... Hi to everyone. This is my first time on here, so its new to me. My daughter has two yorks.one is about 7 months and one is about 3 months. My husband and I have fallen in love with Kaci:) . The others name is Maci. We get Kaci and keep her for days at a time. She knows when shes at home and when she comes to Mamee's.Last night my daughter gave her some small bites of a cheeseburger, and today she acts lifeless. Her little stomach is making all kinds of fizzing noises. i gave her a little syrup to see if i could get her going but so far nothing has worked. Does anyone know what i could do? I told my daughter ,that i read on here not to feed them table food or anything with fat.....Guess that wont happen agin ! We love her so much, just wish i could get her to feeling better......Thanks |
I think it's safe to say that the cheeseburger isn't sitting well with her right now. I really don't think these little guys should eat ANY people food other than fresh veggies, some fruits, plain boiled chicken, cottage cheese, etc. Their digestive systems are too delicate for the kind of crap WE put in our bodies. :) Honestly, if she's acting listless and wont eat, I'd call the vet. It's one thing if she wont eat and her tummy is gurgly (diarrhea), but if she's really lethargic then I'd be worried about her. You didn't mention if Kaci was the 3mth old or the 7mth old - if she's only 3mths, then she can't really afford to miss a meal I imagine. Keep trying with the syrup and call the vet to see what they say. Welcome to YT!:welcome4: |
Try giving her some broiled chicken with either white rice or cottage cheese. That will not only get the cheeseburger out but might settle her stomach a bit. Good luck and WELCOME TO YT!!!! We always learn the hard way, no more cheeseburgers for that little baby. |
Welcome to YT. Hope your little one feels better soon.:aimeeyork |
hope the little one feels better soon :) hugs |
Welcome to YT...sorry it's under circumstances where your baby is sick! I agree with the advice Oscar's Mummy gave you...to check with your vet. It's better to be safe than sorry and your vet could give her something to calm her tummy. My Maddie used to get that gurgling quite often and my vet told me it's quite painful for them when their tummy's are acting up. Poor little Kaci...Maddie and I send get well kisses! Let us know how she's doing! |
Kaci's feeling better :) Thanks everyone for all the good replies.I gave her some syrup, not much, just kept putting it in her mouth with my finger. It took awhile , but by the time she left with my daughter(her mommy) she was playing.Today Kaci (7 months) and Maci (3 months) have been to the vet.He also told my daughter, that Kaci could have become a little depressed when she got Maci? I feel so much better knowing she is feeling better( we love her so much). I have never even touched a dog in my life, until my daughter came to show us her new puppy and no one can believe how i have changed.lol Yorkies are so sweet:aimeeyork |
maybe you should think about getting your own yorkie:D |
I'm glad she is doing better! |
Welcome to YT!!! Glad your lil one is doing better!! |
Oh God Bless......Kaci is so lucky to have a Mamee that cares enough to do the research on her for her well being. I'm very happy to hear Kaci is much better and keep up the good work of telling your daughter the does and don't on these little Yorkies. So I hope we see more of you in here and maybe show us pictures of the furkids ;) |
Like someone else allready said.. maybe you SHOULD think about getting a yorkie of your own to love. They do make wonderful pets and they are the sweetest lil babies. |
