Yorkie throwing up? what next? Yesterday morning I woke up to the sound of my 16 month old girl throwing up. She had thrown up several more times during the day (including the rice I fed her). I did call my vet and he said to give her a 1/2 tsp of pepto and try to feed her bread. She has been keepning the bread down and drinking water since about 3 yesterday afternoon. Everything else seems to be fine (normal poops, playing, no tummy pain). My question is when should I try to switch her back to rice and then boiled chicken. I don't want to force her back into a regular diet before she is ready. Also - I haven't given any more pepto - do I need to? Thanks!!!!! |
I would think that if everything appears normal, try going back to the rice and chicken. If anything else changes, call the vet again. If her poops are normal, Pepto wouldn't be necessary. |
