Hugs to you! Lessons learned aren't always easy ones...Quit being so hard on yourself now. Chalk it up to experience.:thumbup:

Hi ! Yes I do have a Beautiful White Afghan named Angel ! :littleang :littleang
I would like to get another white female but am having trouble finding a breeder. I've only found about 3 in the USA. Also to find a white female is so rare. I thought about breeding Them just for the fact that you can't find them any more. Oh ! and just a little FYI ... They are known to be the oldest breed on the Planet, Dating back to the times of the Pyramids... I sure hope they are not headed for extinction ??? WE wouldn't let that happen, Would We ???

IT could be alot worse you could of just ignored the fact and max could of gotten even more sick ..your a awesome caregiver and mom for max ..he is one lucky dog ..and you ..let it go ..its hurting you ..ok ..good luck and we will all be rooting for max's recovery and yours ...

MAX IS HOME!!! He's going to be OK!!! I'm so relieved. THANK YOU so much for your thoughts & prayers & kind words...you've helped ease my mind & bring Max home.

The vet sent us home with carafate, which he's taken just fine for us this morning. He ate about 1/2 his normal dinner last night, and had a normal BM this morning. He's drinking lots of water, too.

He was so excited to see us! He tried to squirm out of the vet's arms when he heard my voice! hehehe...he still loves me!

He lost over a pound. At his last checkup, he was 6lbs 8oz, and now he's down to 5lbs 4oz. He's all droopy skin & bones sticking out everywhere!

He wanted to play ball this morning, and then he sat on my lap for about an hour & napped afterward. He just licked my arm until he fell asleep. :) I'm so glad to have him home!!

So glad to hear Max is home and that he is gonna be o.k. You will be surprised at how fast the weight comes back on him. I am sure he lost a lot of fluids! So very happy that this had a happy ending for all of you!!! Now quit beating yourself up over this...he is o.k.!!!

We never had a doubt about that! He will always Love You , You take care of him with almost every waking breath and when your not taking care of him your taking care of your kids! BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE DO BEST ! NOW REMEMBRER IT ! Especially during the hard times.
WE ARE ONLY HUMAN! The rest is up to The Divine...
So YAYA SISTER... DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY!
MAX IS HOME AND HAPPY AND WILL SOON BE FAT & SASSY AGAIN ...

I just saw this. I'm so glad Max is ok! These little ones can scare the life out of you! Way to go Max, glad you healed so quickly.

I am sitting here crying with tears of joy on my face.Thank the Lord and your Vet for saving Max and letting him go home. A hard lesson learned but remember we are only human so don't whip yourself but take joy in holding your baby!I am so happy for you:aimeeyork

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO happy that Max is home with you and feeling MUCH better!!!! Hope your daughter is feeling better too. I ALSO hope that the bruises all over your shins heal nicely from you kicking yourself so much. If I would have read this sooner I would have tried to comfort you too....however, I know I would have been EXACTLY like you were!

YEA MAX!!!! I'm so glad his story had a happy ending...and that you forgave yourself. DUMB ACCIDENTS can happen SO EASILY in our busy lives, and we are only human, any of us! I could easily see myself making the same mistake, as a harried young mom. Thanks for the warning to us all, and again, extra hugs to Max from us all! :)
