Need help . . Annika is soooo bloated I just realized when I picked up Annika a few minutes ago how bloated she is . . .is this something I should be concerned about ? She had quite a huge meal this morning (3 servings) and then a serving over lunch and this afternoon as I gave her meal, she did not want to touch it at all. She is having soft stool problems these past few days and so the VET had asked for a stool sample to check for parasites before administering some medication. I will be doing that tomorrow as they are closed over the weekend. Has someone every experienced this and if so is this a concern . . . |
Oh Des I am so sorry to hear about Annika. I hope she is doing better soon. Please keep us posted after you take her sample to the vet tomorrow. I will keep my fingers crossed that it isn't parasites. |

I wonder if it was because I fed her too much this morning . . . 3 servings all gone in less than 3 minutes . . . I wanted her to gain weight so she won't be soooo tiny :( . She weighed 2.1 pounds at the vet at 14 weeks so I was hoping to get some meat into her tiny body :( |
In moderation hun, she will grow. Morgan was still quite tiny at 14 weeks and now just 4 weeks later she is 3.5 lbs. and growing. Keep in mind she is just a pup and like everything else it will take time. Please send me a PM after you get to the vet tomrrow. Take care and give Annika some hugs from her Aunt Courtney. |
Gracie had that happen once....the vet called it stuffed puppy syndrome, LOL. We finally found a food she would eat and we feed it to her on demand needless to say she became over stuffed with food. We fasted her for 24hrs and no more bloating.....stick to what the vet tells you to feed her dont worry they will grow |
